What web conferencing tool did your group use?
- Our group chose to use Adobe Connect for our web conference.
- Advantages:
- All group members were able to communicate through microphones and the notes pod.
- We were able to upload and share documents related to our proposed project.
- Can share your computer screen (although we did not end up using this feature.
- Disadvantages:
- Adobe Connect is not free for long-term use.
- If multiple group members attempted to talk through the microphone at the same time there would be feed back.
- If multiple group members attempted to type at the same time in the notes pod they would interfere with each other
- Our group chose to create a professional development piece on Windows Movie Maker.
- In particular we are going to discuss how teachers and students can use Windows Movie Maker in the classroom.
- We actually still have not completely decided on how we will create this professional development piece.
- We were considering the following:
- Jing
- Screencastomatic
- Camstudio
- Individual parts are to be done by 10/14/12
- We are each to include examples of how to use WMM in a classroom that fits our subject areas
- I am to provide information on using WMM in a social studies classroom.
- Creation of Storyboard to be worked on 10/14/12 - 10/18/12
- After everyone has turned in their individual pieces we are going to collaborate on our Google Doc to create a storyboard.
- Part B: Storyboard & Script due by 10/20/12
- Individual Blog Posting due by 10/20/12
